Simon Gudgeon is the founder of The Sculpted Soul — creating retreats, journals, and practices that bring together reflection, nervous system awareness, and lived experience.
About
I create calm, well-held spaces where people can slow down, settle their nervous system, and reconnect with themselves.
My work integrates sound, breath, silence, and simple embodied practices, guided by a trauma-informed understanding of how the body responds to stress, emotion, and change. Rather than pursuing intensity or catharsis, I prioritise regulation, pacing, and integration — supporting people to feel grounded, steady, and resourced.
This approach recognises that meaningful change happens when the body feels safe enough to soften and the mind has space to quieten, allowing experience to reorganise naturally rather than being pushed or directed.

How I work
I work with steady attention to both the individual and the group, staying responsive to what is happening in the body and in the room.
Each session is intentionally structured:
Clearly opened
Carefully held
Properly closed
Sound and breath are used with precision and care — not to overwhelm, but to support rhythm, ease, and nervous system settling. Silence is treated as an essential part of the work, offering space for integration rather than interpretation.
Choice is always central.
There is no pressure to perform, release, or reach any particular state.
The emphasis is on containment, safety, and return.
A grounded, trauma-aware approach
All sessions are guided with careful attention to safety, consent, and nervous system regulation.
Participants are encouraged to:
Stay connected to their body and surroundings
Engage at their own pace
Take breaks or step back when needed
Leave feeling settled, orientated, and intact
This way of working is particularly supportive during periods of stress, emotional fatigue, grief, or life transition — and equally valuable for those simply seeking clarity, rest, and steadiness.

Item description
“Seeing the transformative effect these retreats have on participants has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to facilitating more of these events to help people relax and restore”
My role as a facilitator
My role is not to interpret experiences or lead people toward predetermined outcomes.
It is to:
Create a stable, grounded container
Maintain calm presence throughout
Recognise when settling is needed more than stimulation
Support clear endings and gentle re-entry
I see this as a form of professional care — rooted in attentiveness, responsibility, and respect for the body’s innate intelligence.
Why this work matters
Time and again, I see how much shifts when people feel genuinely held and unhurried.
When the nervous system is supported rather than challenged:
Emotional patterns loosen
Perspective widens
A sense of inner steadiness returns
This is the quality I aim to offer — not transformation for its own sake, but a reliable return to balance, presence, and choice.
An invitation
If you’re looking for an experience that is calm, thoughtful, and well held — one that honours depth while supporting integration — you’re warmly welcome.
